Accountant / Senior Accountant – Construction
Our client is a well-established construction company in Hong Kong. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant/ Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, focusing on projects and cash flow management. The role is hands-on and supports the financial integrity of varied project scales and rental business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and cash flow management related to projects and rentals
- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports and support management in budget monitoring and cost control
- Oversee project cash flow, tracking inflows and outflows to maintain financial health
- Collaborate with the bookkeeper to ensure smooth daily accounting operations
- Support audit preparation, tax filing, and regulatory compliance
- Plan and execute data migration from Excel spreadsheets into the new ERP accounting system
- Lead efforts to clean, map, and test financial data ensuring successful digital transformation
- Provide training or guidance for effective ERP usage among accounting team members
- Support ad hoc financial and operational tasks as needed
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based business environments
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and project accounting
- Experience with accounting system migration or transition from Excel to ERP is essential
- Proactive, independent, and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in English and Cantonese, with good communication skills
- Hands-on and able to work independently with minimal supervision
