Accountant / Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting
Our client is a well-established multinational corporation (MNC) based on Hong Kong Island, with a strong presence in various global markets. As part of their commitment to maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (e.g., HKFRS, IFRS)
- Coordinate with various business units and global entities to gather financial data and ensure proper consolidation
- Review and analyze general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes, providing necessary documentation and support
- Monitor and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making
- Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, with exposure to Hong Kong and international accounting standards
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance
- Experience in handling financial reporting for multiple entities across different jurisdictions
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in English and Cantonese, both written and verbal, is essential
- Candidates with a stable job history and a proven track record of delivering accurate and timely financial reports are highly preferred
