Accounting Professional – Finance Operations

Our client is a leading insurance firm with a strong presence in Hong Kong. As part of their commitment to maintaining efficient and accurate finance operations, they are seeking talented accounting professionals at various levels to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Handle various aspects of finance operations, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), general ledger (GL), and settlement.
• Process and record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare and maintain accounting documents, reports, and reconciliations.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, claims, and operations, to ensure smooth financial processes.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Provide support during audits and assist in resolving audit queries.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Relevant experience in finance operations, with exposure to AR, AP, GL, and settlement processes.
• Experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in English and Cantonese, both written and verbal, is essential.
