Buying Manager (High-end menswear brand)
Our client is a renowned high-end menswear brand and they are looking for a buying manager for the team. This person will lead 1 staff and reporting to the Senior brand manager.
Responsibilities:
- Manage OTB budget and select merchandise assortments
- Assist in formulating buying strategy and product mix
- Formulate strategic merchandising plan by drawing conclusions from current season sales and market trend forecast
- Monitor stock level, sales performance, merchandise distribution, stock allocation and reordering
- Formulate sales analysis report and monitor sales performance
- Assess product performance by reviewing the Sales Report and take appropriate actions for individual SKUs on bi-weekly basis
- Work with operations teams for merchandising planning and sales activities
- Work closely with the Design team on merchandise development to appeal to the market
Requirements
- Degree in any relevant discipline
- 5 years+ relevant experience in buying function
- Retail apparel experience covering a range of experience from allocation, planning, buying, merchandising and supply chain management
- Sound business acumen and retail numerical sense, detailed mind with strong analytical skills
- Excellent planning, negotiation and team building skills, with sensitivity to customer needs and market trends
- Adapt to change and able to work in dynamic nature organization
- Problem-solving aptitude with scientific mindset, aiming to drive results
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to work independently and proactively
- Good command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Occasional traveling to China
