Our client, a leading manufacturing firm based in Hong Kong with a strong presence in the US market, is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to support their ambitious growth plans and potential IPO in the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the company’s long-term growth objectives and potential US IPO
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors regarding financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Identify and evaluate strategic business opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships
- Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements
- Manage the company’s financial reporting processes, including SEC filings and other required disclosures
- Collaborate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits
- Treasury and Cash Management
- Optimize the company’s cash management and treasury functions to ensure sufficient liquidity and minimize financial risks
- Manage banking relationships and negotiate favorable terms for financing and credit facilities
- Develop and implement effective foreign exchange and interest rate risk management strategies
- Investment and Capital Allocation
- Evaluate and prioritize investment opportunities to support the company’s growth and expansion plans
- Develop and manage the company’s capital allocation strategy, ensuring optimal returns on invested capital
- Communicate effectively with investors, analysts, and other stakeholders regarding the company’s financial performance and future prospects
- Team Leadership and Development
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with other department heads to drive operational efficiency and support the company’s overall business objectives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) highly preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or related industry
- Proven track record of successfully leading a company through an IPO process in the US
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements
- Excellent financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Fluency in English and Mandarin; proficiency in Cantonese is a plus
