Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust cybersecurity strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives and risk tolerance
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and remediate potential security weaknesses
- Monitor and analyze security logs, alerts, and incidents using SIEM tools and other security technologies to detect and respond to potential threats in a timely manner
- Investigate security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and develop and implement incident response and recovery plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and compliance, to ensure the integration of security best practices into business processes and technology solutions
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines, and ensure their effective communication and implementation across the organization
- Provide guidance and training to employees on cybersecurity best practices, such as secure coding, data handling, and phishing awareness
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of the company’s security posture
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and NIST, and assist in the preparation for security audits and assessments
- Manage and mentor junior security team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., Master’s) preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably within the financial services or fintech industry
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, frameworks, and best practices, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and OWASP
- Hands-on experience with security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection
- Strong understanding of network security, secure coding practices, and cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with relevant compliance and regulatory requirements, such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and SOC 2
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think like an attacker and anticipate potential threats
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH, are highly desirable
