Director of Supply Chain and Production (High end apparel brand)
Our client is a high end apparel brand and they are looking for a Director of Supply Chain and Production. This person will oversee the supply chain and production planning for the brand.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing supply chain strategies to optimize speed, cost, sustainability and quality. Ensuring alignment with the brand’s growth and strategic priorities.
- Managing relationships with vendors and suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements. Negotiating and managing key contracts.
- Planning and monitoring inventory levels to match supply with customer demand. Optimizing inventory turnover and minimizing excess stock.
- Overseeing vendor operations to ensure maximum efficiency, quality and compliance with brand standards. Managing any internal manufacturing facilities.
- Staying on top of industry trends and innovations to continually enhance supply chain performance and capabilities. Keeping up with sustainability and compliance best practices.
- Working closely with design and product teams to effectively translate product roadmaps into supply chain plans.
- Defining and tracking key performance metrics and KPIs to measure the success and continuous improvement of the supply chain function.
To succeed in this key position, you will have at least 10-15 years experience in supply chain / planning position in apparel space.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities
- Track record of delivering process improvements and cost reductions
- Understanding of sustainability best practices in fashion retail supply chains
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is required
