Financial Controller – Hotel Group / Hospitality

Our client is a reputable hospitality group in Hong Kong. We’re recruiting a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join their Hotel Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting and finance for our properties, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and driving financial performance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the accounting and finance team, providing guidance and support
• Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
• Develop and implement effective financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and monitor budgets, cost control measures, and financial performance
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and investments to optimize financial resources
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other relevant stakeholders
• Provide strategic financial advice and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
• Proficiently use relevant hotel accounting and finance systems, such as OPERA
• Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
• Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably within the hospitality industry
• Strong understanding of hotel accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
• Proficiency in using hotel-specific accounting and finance systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to build and manage high-performing teams
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other accounting software
