General Manager

About Our Client:

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and energetic General Manager to lead the overall operations of our client’s fitness and activity centers. This senior leadership role involves managing daily business functions, leading diverse teams, and spearheading growth strategies that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong business acumen, demonstrated success managing small to medium-sized enterprises, and a passion for delivering outstanding service in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple locations, ensuring excellent service quality, safety, and facility maintenance.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a multidisciplinary team, fostering a positive and productive work culture.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase membership, revenue, and brand engagement.
  • Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and optimize resources for profitability.
  • Drive marketing, community outreach, and promotional initiatives to grow the customer base.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, staff, and external partners.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on operational and financial performance

Requirements:

  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in operation, with 3+ years experience in management/ leadership role, ideally in sports, fitness, leisure, or service-focused SME environments.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and operations in SMEs or start-ups.
  • Demonstrated ability to increase business growth and improve operational workflows.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Passion for health, wellness, or lifestyle industries is highly desirable.
  • Results-oriented, adaptable, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
