Head of HR (European MNC)

Our client is a European MNC and they are looking for the Head of HR, Asia. This person will lead a team of 5 staff, reporting to the COO. The Head of HR will be responsible for all HR functions across Asia, including but not limited to recruitment, compensation and benefits, talent management, organizational development, and HR compliance.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement an HR strategy aligned with the overall business strategy in Asia. Ensure all HR programs and initiatives meet the needs of the regional business.
  • Lead recruitment and staffing activities to attract and hire high quality talent across Asia. Implement best practices in recruiting and collaborate with hiring managers to fill key roles.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll for all employees in Asia. Ensure competitive and fair pay and benefits across all locations. Stay up-to-date with compliance regulations.
  • Drive key talent management and organizational development priorities such as leadership programs, performance management, succession planning, training, and development.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with employment laws across Asia. Provide guidance to HR teams in country offices.
  • Partner with business leaders in Asia to provide HR support and guidance. Understand key priorities and challenges, and develop HR solutions to enable business growth.
  • Lead and manage the regional HR team to deliver impactful and consistent HR services and programs across all locations in Asia.


  • 10+ years of HR experience with extensive experience leading HR across Asia, preferably for an MNC.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing HR strategies. Strong business acumen and ability to align HR priorities with business needs.
  • Expertise across multiple HR functions including recruitment, compensation, talent management, organizational development, and compliance.
  • Working experience in a matrix environment with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct reporting relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to lead, motivate and develop HR teams across cultures.
