HR Executive (European sourcing office)

Our client is a well known European sourcing office and they are looking for a HR Executive, mainly focusing on payroll but also take care of other HR duties, reporting to the Head of HR.

Job Purpose:

  • Manage payroll processing and reporting for all employees in Hong Kong and China. Ensure timely and accurate payroll and compliance with local regulations.
  • Perform various HR functions including recruitment coordination, employee benefits administration, HR projects, leave management, and maintenance of staff records.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Process monthly payroll for all Hong Kong and China employees accurately and on schedule.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and journal entries. Ensure all payroll tax and social insurance payments are made correctly and on time.
  • Stay current on payroll policies, tax laws, and regulations for Hong Kong and China. Implement any required changes to payroll processing.
  • Coordinate on interview and work closely with the hiring managers
  • Administer and communicate employee benefit plans, including health insurance, retirement plans, and time-off policies. Address employee questions.
  • Lead HR projects and initiatives as needed, such as compensation benchmarking, performance management enhancements, training program development, etc.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS including contact info, compensation, tax forms, leaves, attendance, performance reviews etc.
  • Perform other HR duties or projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • 3+ years of payroll and HR experience, including managing international payroll.
  • Excellent knowledge of Hong Kong and China payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
