Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and continuously improve logistics policies, processes, and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
2. Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring smooth and timely flow of goods from origin to destination.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and finance, to align logistics strategies with business objectives.
4. Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers to ensure high-quality service and cost-effectiveness.
5. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to international trade and logistics.
7. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
8. Develop and manage logistics budgets, controlling costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
9. Coordinate with warehouses and distribution centers to optimize inventory management and minimize stock-outs.
10. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics management, preferably within a global trading or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
- Familiarity with various modes of transportation (air, ocean, rail, and road) and their respective requirements.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate complex logistics initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficient in MS Office and experienced in using logistics management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
