Property Manager – Family Office
Our client is an established Hong Kong family office with diversified real estate investments across Hong Kong. They are seeking an experienced Property Manager to join our growing team in a newly created role. This position will focus primarily on managing our residential properties and shopping mall in Hong Kong, working as an independent operator who can coordinate effectively with various stakeholders and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of buildings comprising residential and shopping mall properties
- Act as the primary point of contact for all property-related issues and emergencies
- Coordinate and manage relationships with outsourced service providers including maintenance contractors, security services, and cleaning companies
- Oversee critical building systems maintenance including lift operations and other mechanical/electrical systems
- Ensure properties maintain high standards of presentation, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Handle tenant relations and resolve operational issues promptly
- Prepare regular reports on property performance and maintenance requirements
- Manage property budgets and control operational expenses
- Support management with ad-hoc property-related projects as required (may occasionally include queries related to the family’s other business interests)
Requirements
- 10-15 years of proven experience in property management, preferably with exposure to both residential and retail properties
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong property regulations and building management ordinances
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple properties simultaneously
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with ability to handle emergency situations calmly
- Fluent in Cantonese and English; Mandarin is an advantage
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and management requirements
- Professional qualifications in property or facilities management preferred
