Sales Manager (AM to SM Grade) – Logistics Service Provider
Our client, a rapidly growing logistics service provider specializing in sea shipments, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join their expanding sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of bringing in new business and developing excellent client relationships in the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and network to drive sales growth
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the company’s client base
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, serving as their primary point of contact
- Understand clients’ unique needs and requirements, and develop customized logistics solutions to meet their specific objectives
- Proactively address client concerns, ensure client satisfaction, and drive customer retention and loyalty
- Sales Negotiation and Closing
- Lead sales negotiations with prospective clients, demonstrating strong persuasion and closing skills
- Develop and present compelling proposals and quotations, highlighting the company’s value proposition and competitive advantages
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of client contracts and deliverables
- Account Management and Growth
- Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction
- Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth and expansion, through cross-selling, up-selling, and introducing new services
- Monitor and report on key account metrics, including revenue, profitability, and client retention
- Team Collaboration and Reporting
- Collaborate with operations, customer service, and other internal teams to ensure smooth execution of client shipments and deliveries
- Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities
- Participate in team meetings, share best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the sales team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven sales experience in the logistics or transportation industry, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of sea shipment logistics, industry trends, and competitive landscape
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a results-driven mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Fluency in English and Mandarin; proficiency in Cantonese is a plus
