Sales Manager (AM to SM Grade) – Logistics Service Provider

Our client, a rapidly growing logistics service provider specializing in sea shipments, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join their expanding sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of bringing in new business and developing excellent client relationships in the logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and network to drive sales growth
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the company’s client base
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth
  2. Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, serving as their primary point of contact
    • Understand clients’ unique needs and requirements, and develop customized logistics solutions to meet their specific objectives
    • Proactively address client concerns, ensure client satisfaction, and drive customer retention and loyalty
  3. Sales Negotiation and Closing
    • Lead sales negotiations with prospective clients, demonstrating strong persuasion and closing skills
    • Develop and present compelling proposals and quotations, highlighting the company’s value proposition and competitive advantages
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of client contracts and deliverables
  4. Account Management and Growth
    • Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth and expansion, through cross-selling, up-selling, and introducing new services
    • Monitor and report on key account metrics, including revenue, profitability, and client retention
  5. Team Collaboration and Reporting
    • Collaborate with operations, customer service, and other internal teams to ensure smooth execution of client shipments and deliveries
    • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities
    • Participate in team meetings, share best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the sales team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven sales experience in the logistics or transportation industry, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of sea shipment logistics, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a results-driven mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin; proficiency in Cantonese is a plus
