Senior Sourcing Manager (Ribbons)
Our client is a sourcing office and they are looking for a Senior Sourcing Manager. This person will lead a team of 4 staff, reporting to the MD.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for ribbon products including woven, printed, and specialty ribbons
- Lead sourcing projects from product specifications through supplier identification, qualification, negotiation, contracting, and supplier relationship management
- Conduct market research and analysis on ribbon product trends, pricing, supply capabilities, and risks
- Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships to ensure a reliable supply of cost-competitive, quality ribbon products
- Negotiate and execute purchase agreements with domestic and international ribbon suppliers
- Continuously monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, responsiveness, and total cost
- Identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities in the supply chain
- Maintain expert knowledge of ribbon product manufacturing processes, technologies, and supply market conditions
- Manage a team of sourcing specialists and coordinate cross-functional collaboration between departments
- Create and analyze sourcing data, proposals, budgets, and reports for executive management
Requirements:
- 7+ years sourcing experience, with 5+ years in a sourcing manager role
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
- Previous experience in handling Ribbon products will be required
- Expert knowledge of ribbon product manufacturing and global supply markets
- Strong product development experience is required
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing concepts and negotiations
- Strong analytical, project management and relationship management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
