Assistant Finance Manager / Finance Manager

Our client is a leading US Corporation, they are seeking an experienced and highly capable Assistant Finance Manager to join their finance team. This is a hands-on role that requires a blend of technical expertise, managerial skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and participate in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Conduct variance analysis, investigate discrepancies, and provide insights to management
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (accounting, tax, treasury, etc.) to ensure accurate and consistent financial data
  • Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and compliance processes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required
  • Liaise with external auditors and facilitate audit processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and financial reporting tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to meet deadlines
  • CPA or relevant professional certification is advantageous
